VCA Animal Hospitals Veterinary Technician in Dunmore, Pennsylvania

We are seeking a Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

VCA Dunmore Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited hospital committed to providing high-quality medicine and world-class client service. We see cases ranging from routine vaccines to critical care challenges. Our beautiful facility is an 8,800 square foot state-of-the-art hospital that boasts 5 spacious and modern exam rooms, a consult/comfort room, and 2 extensive surgery suites. We are passionate about the care we deliver and seeking a like-mind professional to join the team.

About the Role

As a member of the VCA Dunmore, you will support other technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient.

You have worked hard to gain experience and we want you to use the knowledge that you have invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

  • Compassionate patient care

  • Client education and care

  • Venipuncture and catheter placement

  • Radiology and diagnostics

  • Lab sample collection and processing

  • Surgical preparation and assisting

  • Dentistry

  • Medication preparation and administration

  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint

  • Medical recordkeeping

The pay range for this position starts at $19/hr.
