Living Legends Health Assistant Director of Nursing in Dunkirk, New York

Assistant Director of Nursing

Pay range from $90,000 to $98,000 depending on experience.

SIGN-ON BONUS: up to $7,500

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines

-On Call rotation, and acting as interim DON ( Director of Nursing) when DON is scheduled off

· Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the department

· Act as a team member, team leader, and supervisor to ensure work is accomplished, and quality care is delivered

· Support team members and leaders in a way that celebrates and encourages hard work and success

· Ensure that all nursing personnel are following their respective job descriptions

· Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.

· Help determine staffing needs

· Provide direct nursing care as necessary

· Additional responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum of one-year experience in nursing service administration required

· Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required

· Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred

· Must be able to demonstrate age-specific knowledge of developmental factors for adult and geriatric residents

· Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution

· Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable

· Strong customer service skills and compassion
