An opportunity has arisen in the Engineering organisation for an Engineering Manager in the PC Core & Devices team.

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and tenacious individual educated to degree level in a relevant Electronics or Mechanical Engineering discipline, other related field or equivalent work experience in product design for manufacture. The successful applicant will manage a highly motivated team striving to meet all quality, cost and schedule targets across a range of ATM products and devices.

The successful applicant will work with globally located and multi-disciplined teams to help achieve the end goals of the company.

Salary Range: £50000 - £70,000 (Depending on skills and experience) + attractive bonus plan

Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Manager

  • Manage Core NPI, Lifecycle and Kits Projects as required.

  • Deliver core product releases and projects on schedule, within budget and to a high-quality standard.

  • Review product requirements to define an appropriate technical approach, create technical requirements and project scope documentation.

  • Generate Project Plans and clearly defined Statements of Work.

  • Manage project budgets.

  • Supplier engagement and management across the device portfolio

  • Effective communication skills for senior management and customers/account teams.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s degree) in Engineering related subject

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-functional teams and global reach.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.

  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues

  • Strong communications skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Mechanical or Electrical background

  • Financial Services / Banking Industry experience

  • Product design knowledge/experience.

  • Professional Project Management qualification (PMP or Prince)

  • Software development knowledge.
