DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will undertake various responsibilities, including the receipt, preparation, dispensing, and documentation of prescriptions, including controlled substances, under the guidance of a Registered Pharmacist. You will support software-related tasks such as generating reports and printing Medical Administration Records (MARs) and Treatment Administration Records (TARs) as necessary. It is crucial to manage and oversee the pharmacy inventory in accordance with established reorder levels. You will prepare purchase requests for pharmaceuticals, receive and organize incoming orders, and maintain records of requisitions and purchases. Additionally, you will assist with periodic inventory assessments, identify and process expired pharmaceuticals for return to the manufacturer, and enter medication orders into computerized profiles while updating them as needed. Familiarity with resident medication histories is required, along with the compounding of prescriptions, such as ointments, as instructed. You will utilize reference materials to enhance your understanding of drug names, strengths, and product identification. Contributions to the Quality Improvement Program or other facility initiatives are expected, alongside maintaining a clean and organized work area while performing related housekeeping tasks. Clerical support duties, including typing, copying, filing, answering phones, and managing messages, will also be part of your responsibilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 7.5 hour day/37.5 hours weekly Work hours are 1st Shift: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. One year of experience assisting a licensed pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications in a hospital pharmacy. or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements:
