DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Custodial Worker, you will engage in regular manual tasks within public institutional facilities and their adjacent areas. Your responsibilities will include utilizing custodial materials and contemporary cleaning tools, which may require the relocation and lifting of substantial furniture. The work follows a defined routine and is subject to evaluation to ensure cleanliness standards are upheld. This position is suited for an individual who is positive, productive, and takes pride in maintaining cleanliness and assisting others.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Part-time employment, 37.5 hours bi-weekly Work hours are 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM,  with a 30-minute lunch, rotating days and weekends. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices or public areas; mopping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, and buffing) Work experience in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital Work experience interacting with patients or residents while cleaning in patient or resident rooms or a dining room setting Work experience with cleaning bodily fluids and disposing infectious waste into proper storage areas Work experience with removing snow, trash, and debris from sidewalks and entrance ways Work experience with using and mixing chemicals or solvents Work experience using manual or power equipment to mop, scrub, sweep, strip, wax, and buff floors Custodial work experience in the following environments: activity or recreation room;  bathroom, shower, or bathing room; cafeteria or dining room setting; entranceway, lobby, or common space; nursing station; patient or resident rooms; pharmacy; physical therapy rooms

Legal Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance. How to Apply:
