Description

We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner in Duncan, SC. As a Planner, your primary role will be coordinating and managing the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) operations for the designated trade lane. You will be required to handle various activities ranging from processing inbound and outbound in-bonds to maintaining the FTZ procedures manual.

Responsibilities:

• Tracking the company’s current inventory

• Analyzing available data from demand planning, inventory reports and other resources

• Recommending changes to the way the company handles inventory

• Anticipating factors that might influence demand, such as seasonal slowdowns or upcoming promotions

• Managing the storage of inventory and materials

• Maintaining enough inventory to meet demands without overstocking

• Collaborating with operations, production and other supply chain department team members

• Negotiating with vendors and suppliers
