Location: Duluth, MN

Rate: $19.00/hour

Full Time and Part Time Positions Available!

Performance Expectations: Performs routine security enforcement work. Work is performed under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Guards at this level may fully perform a variety of routine daily tasks but may at times rely on direction from others to solve problems that are not standard.

Typical Job Duties:

• Monitor and/or patrol buildings, grounds, and work areas; watch for unauthorized persons, fires, and unusual occurrences; and report emergencies upon discovery

• Doors remain secured to include stairwells

• Identify, report, and confront persons/suspects in cases of potential unauthorized entry into state buildings, grounds, and work areas, malicious mischief, or other violations

• Respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and report disturbances / concerns

• Monitor video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, access control systems, and programming of such systems

Working Conditions:

• Typical office environment with unpredictable and varied pace of activity

• Onsite workspace will be provided

• Work cell phone required

Position Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or GED Required

• Standard computer / technology skills needed

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus

• Resourceful, proactive and remain calm when issues arise

• Superior interpersonal and relationship skills to deal tactfully, discreetly, and effectively with team and all levels of the company

• Basic understanding of common office software (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word)

• Excellent clear verbal and written communication
