Educational Requirements:

  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years clinical or education experience in applicable clinical area

Job Description:

Design and deliver diabetes management education and services for people within a defined population. Patients may be seen in a clinic office, inpatient or community setting according to the scope of practice, standards of practice, and standards of professional performance by the American Diabetes Association and/or the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics. Must have knowledge of current diabetes standards and maintain required annual continuing education. Facilitates the attainment and maintenance of optimal level of health for individuals with diabetes by collaborating with other health care members to develop the diabetes plan of care.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state

  • Current certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) with the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) OR American Association for Diabetes Educators (AADE) or must become certified within 2 years of hire

  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 3 months from date of hire

Job Location: Building C - Duluth Clinic - 2nd Street

Shift Rotation: Day Rotation (United States of America)

Shift Start/End: 8:00-830/16:30-17:00

Hours Per Pay Period: 80

Compensation Range: $69077 - $103626 / year
