Job Duties: Review and provide technical consultation on conceptual and engineering design of treatment/remediation systems to treat sulfate and co-occurring contaminants Provide expert assessment and advisory service on design and operational parameters during pilot-scale and field-demonstration evaluation toward a full-scale application Qualifications Required qualifications Advanced Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field At least 6 years of industry or research experience in Environmental Engineering Preferred qualifications Demonstrated experience in process modeling and cost estimation for pilot- and full-scale water/wastewater treatment Experience in sulfate treatment for municipal and industrial wastewater Research experience in anaerobic biological processes Experience in working with public agencies and industries for environmental compliance and permitting About the Department The Natural Resources Research Institute was established by the Minnesota legislature in 1983 as an applied science and engineering research organization to inform state citizens and decision-makers while leveraging the power of the University of Minnesota.
