The salary range for this position will be $45,000-$55,000, based on experience. This position will carry the rank of Instructor or Teaching Assistant Professor (depending on qualification) and begins January 2, 2025. Faculty are appointed on a semester or one-year annual basis, depending on the teaching needs of the Department of Education. This position may be renewable for the 2025-26 academic year based on need, funding, and performance. Part-time appointments below 75% do not carry full benefits. Responsibilities include teaching a range of undergraduate courses in American Sign Language up to 30 credits for the year, advising students, and other teaching-related duties. Qualifications Applicants are required to have: Master's degree with a focus in American Sign Language from an accredited institution. (A Bachelor's Degree with a focus in American Sign Language may be accepted conditionally upon the candidate's enrollment in a Master's Program.) One year of full-time teaching experience in the pertinent field of study (ASL) at the college level. Ability to teach a range of undergraduate courses in American Sign Language up to 30 credits for the year. Experience using technology in teaching.
