TheSoftware Development Managerwill manage two or more software development teams on projects of moderate to large size and complexity. Often responsible for the product design of one or more product lines, this position recommends the most efficient way to produce new products. This position evaluates progress and results of development efforts of the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Increasing team engagement and driving innovation.

· Lead our teams towards innovation

· Evangelize best agile practices

· Drive towards Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.

· Ensure projects are completed on time and according to corporate quality standards

· Facilitate communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances, and technical information

· Serves as a hands-on technical leader for the group as well as the technical liaison to our partner groups.

· Ensure projects are completed according to product specifications and are properly documented.

· Perform personnel management activities such as hiring, firing, and compensation and performance reviews for all software developers.

· Recommend the most efficient way to produce new products and improve existing products.

· Hold responsibility for product design of one or more product lines.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

· Bachelor’s Degree in business, software engineering, computer science, or a related field preferred.

· 5-7 years of deep technical experience in software development with 3 years of management or software architect level experience preferred. Strong system design and non-functional background preferred.

· Proven experience in leading software production development projects.

· Excellent organizational, leadership, decision making, and communication skills.

· 2-3 years of cloud experience required, preferably AWS.

· .NET hands-on technology or certification is a plus.

What’s Good to Know

  • Occasional travel required, usually no more than 3-5 days per month.
