Job Summary:

Lead Test Engineers work system-wide but will focus primarily on utilities. An exceptional degree of technical expertise, creativity, and resourcefulness will be needed for this role. The Lead Test Engineer will use these skills to plan and coordinate projects dealing with unique or controversial problems. This role involved acting independently often looking into complex technical issues and seeking ways to solve them. The Lead Test Engineer will also require leadership skills as they will be looked at as a consultant to management for technology planning. Lead Test Engineers should possess knowledge that will enable them to participate on professional committees and develop information that extends knowledge in each field.

What we Offer:

The salary range for this position is starting at $30- $60 per hour - Commensurate, depending on relevant experience, education, and qualifications. We also offer semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company profits to share in the mutual success! In the past, these have ranges between 3.5% - 11.5% of annual salary.

Who You Are:

  • 4-year BS Engineering Degree (ABET accredited degree) and Professional Engineer (PE) Certificate

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • 5 years of Testing AND Protection & Controls engineering experience

  • Professional memberships may be required, and leadership positions preferred

  • Publications or conference papers preferred

  • Viewed as a systems expert

  • Leadership experience in some capacity

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to pass a background check as well as a drug screening

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate projects

  • Provide technical expertise and creativity when planning projects

  • Coordinates the resolution of issues that may arise when planning a project

  • Work independently to uncover and fix complex technical issues

  • Write detailed test plans

  • Using various computer engineering programs while working on a project including, but not limited to, Adobe Acrobat Pro
