ASTRION has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Officer, in support of the ARMY Division.
JOB DETAILS
LOCATION: Dugway Proving Ground, UT
JOB STATUS: Full-time
TRAVEL: Estimated at 10%
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering; or equivalent experience with direct government or contractor supporting government contracts.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in comprehensive safety practices and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) standards (equivalent to one year of schooling).
Ability to analyze high-risk conditions effectively.
ADDITIONAL:
Must be competent in basic computer software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards to ensure workplace safety and compliance.
Identify and analyze high-risk conditions to develop and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
