Staff Engineer – Application Engineer MCAL (f/m/d)

Job Description

As an Application Engineer in the MCU tools and Ecosystem team you will support our customers and tool partners in using Renesas tools and software components (e.g. AUTOSAR MCAL). You will also play a key role in the definition of future enhancements working closely to the customer engineering teams and to Renesas marketing and software development teams.

In your new role

  • Act as global team member to support Renesas MCU MCAL products.

  • Collaborate internally with Field Application Engineers, Product Marketers and the SW-development teams.

  • Collaborate externally with customers to develop applications and partners to integrate Renesas MCAL in their AUTOSAR products.

  • Provide applications’ training to FAE, Sales, Distributors, and customers.

  • Present Renesas’ technologies, products, and applications in technical seminars.

You actively listen to our customers and regional marketing teams and enjoy building trustful relationships. You set yourself ambitious goals, make use of the knowledge of your team members and share your know-how. Furthermore, you keep profitability in mind and be able to prioritize your technical activities from a commercial point of view.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of study.

  • Experience in AUTOSAR with focus on MCAL components and Complex Drivers.

  • Minimum 6 years of related work experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, development tools and ecosystems

  • Motivated to initiate and drive projects to completion with an open mind for working in an international environment.

  • Good sense of understanding technical requirements and customer expectations

  • Ability to negotiate optimal solutions with customers and partners.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Creativity and team spirit.
