About the Role:

The Internal Audit Manager – EMEA will lead the planning and execution of regional audits and reviews engagements for their audit locations. Internal Audit Managers are responsible for all audit planning & performance, including staffing, communications with audit location and advanced preparation.

Internal Audit Managers provide oversight over Sarbanes-Oxley 404 management testing and issue remediation guidance. Additionally, Internal Audit Managers assist the Internal Audit Vice President & Directors with periodic special projects and support for communications to Veralto’s Audit Committee and senior management.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build relationships with a portfolio of Operating Companies in your region.

  • Assist in the annual risk assessment process for assigned region to determine which audit locations should be in-scope.

  • Manage assigned audit locations independently by planning and executing high quality financial audits and reviews based on an ongoing risk assessment and adequate supervision of audit teams.

  • Plan and perform audit procedures based on modules of the Veralto Standard Internal Audit program, including testing and evaluation of financial statements and internal controls and compliance with Corporate policies and procedures.

  • Review audit work performed and documentation prepared by staff and/or co-sourced resources to ensure it meets Internal Audit quality standards.

  • Draft audit reports based on work performed directly and by subordinates. Submit to Internal Audit Director draft reports for review on a timely basis following field work.

  • Provide constructive and meaningful comments based on audit findings that will help finance teams to improve financial reporting, internal controls and compliance at their locations.

  • Ensure audit location’s compliance with laws and regulations by monitoring compliance activities.

  • Provide oversight and direction over Sarbanes-Oxley 404 management testing.

  • Acquire in-depth understanding of audit location’s business and industry.

  • Establish durable relationships with audit location finance leads and staff.

  • Be a point of contact for questions and concerns coming from assigned audit locations.

  • Develop strong professional relationships with key members of finance and non-finance management of assigned audit locations.

  • Where appropriate, support other Internal Audit team members by participating in audits and supplying special knowledge, e.g., language skills or process audit knowledge where needed.

  • Provide adequate and timely performance feedback to subordinate team members to ensure their development.

  • Assist as required with miscellaneous reporting needed for senior management or Audit Committee presentations.

Qualifications

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 6-10 years of experience, including promoted to manager at a “Big Four” audit firm. Internal audit experience with a “Fortune 500” company is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent) is required.

  • CPA (US) or equivalent is required.

  • Extensive practical experience with US-GAAP and SOX 404 is required.

  • Fluency in English and German is required.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with manufacturing entities and cost accounting is preferred.

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree (e.g., Accounting, Law or Tax) is preferred.

  • Experience with large, complex consolidations of entities with multiple functional currencies is preferred.

  • Experience with acquisitions and divestitures, including due diligence and post-merger integration is preferred.

  • Additional language capabilities including French, Spanish, Dutch, or Italian are a plus.

  • Experience in an operating financial role (e.g., controller, financial analyst) is preferred.

This is a Remote role with the potential opportunity to sit at one of our local operating company’s offices. This role will require up to 30% travel (regional & international - 1 week per month).
