What you’ll do

  • Be accountable for growing the sales revenue and margin for the Cytiva Lab Chromatography Business within the EMEA region. Provide input to the formulation of the yearly business planning cycle within the Product Business Unit. Accountable for achieving the quarterly and yearly P&L Operating Plan targets (Orders and Sales).

  • Lead technical projects in the field with support from the sales specialists, develop an understanding of customer needs as well as issues to troubleshoot. Provide feedback and coordinate collaboration with Product Management to facilitate successful outcomes. Develop customer relationships with our best customers, identify and translate customer needs into workable solutions that drive business success and revenue growth. It is expected that the role will require travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Contribute to help design appropriate training content for sales and marketing teams on Lab Chromatography/solutions/services through technical and application-based training and support. Organize technical training for the EMEA AKTA Specialist Team together with different stakeholders.

  • Use customer feedback and general awareness to identify new opportunities and unmet needs in relation to new product development and product modifications. Engage industry key opinion leaders to understand customer needs, identify market trends, and direction for future applications. Understand and analyze market dynamics and competition to develop business opportunities for Cytiva.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a life science field (Biochemistry, molecular biology, or immunology) or equivalent plus relevant experience in Protein Biochemistry and/or the Life Science Industry.

  • Strong technical background in Lab Chromatography and related applications to understand the needs of our customer base from academia to process development.

  • Three or more years of progressively responsible post-bachelor's experience as a Research Scientist or Chromatography Product Specialist, or Field Application/Technical Specialist are acceptable.

  • Solid problem-solving skills – ability to resolve complex problems, communicate issues, and propose solutions to both external customers and internal team members. Strong business acumen, communication, presentation, influencing, and coaching skills.

  • Ability to build technical relationships and internal and external collaborations with industry-leading scientists.

  • Experience listening to and discussing technical applications with customers to develop desirable outcomes with a vision for the long-term strategy for the diagnostic business.

  • Work collaboratively across functions and geographies to drive execution.
