Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist in the design and development of both legacy and new product development. This role will be 50% design-focused and 50% involved with cross-functional groups, interacting with floor members to ensure seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Autodesk Inventor and/or Solidworks for legacy and new product development.

• Conduct FEA and GD&T to run feasibility analyses on projects.

• Create project proposals using Microsoft suite.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manufacturing floor members.

• Impact large ERP system change projects by working with Excel to create macros and write formulas.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks.

• Experience with FEA and GD&T.

• Ability to create and manipulate data using Excel, including macros and formulas.

• Experience with fenestration, windows, doors, cabinetry, or design and analysis of wood.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field such as mechanical engineering, architecture, or industrial engineering.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in design and analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with door and window casements and design of doors and windows.

Work Environment

The role is primarily office-based but will require visits to the manufacturing floor as needed. The work environment offers a very flexible schedule, strong benefits, and a good work-life balance.
