About the role The Senior Software Engineer supports business process through technology solutions. The purpose of the role is to develop business software solutions for complex and large-scale projects through object and data modeling, database design, programming, quality assurance, and implementation support. The Senior Software Engineer participates in application standards development and serves as an evangelist for best practices in development. What you'll do Responsible for adding, maintaining and extending the proprietary application's components. Technically manage complex and large-scale project efforts in development, maintenance and enhancements of business system applications. Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to stakeholders and management. Collaborate with others to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability. Collaborate with business teams to clarify requirements and business needs. Proactively updated stakeholders and maintain open and courteous communication. Take the initiative on other activities like team improvement, researching newer technologies and upskilling other engineers. All other duties as assigned. What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS, CIS or equivalent, or similar experience. 7+ years proven track record in .NET or Java application development Ability to write, test, debug, and continuously improve software that is used by multiple types of customers. Experience building testing automation and associated processes (Unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.) into the software product. Create and modify application packages as assigned. Ability to create test data when needed; Use expertise in software engineering to develop systems and monitor and report on those systems. Dedication to identify and resolve root causes of endemic problems, and collaborate effectively with other teams to implement correct, long-term fixes. Experience with server-side languages and frameworks including Java and the Spring and/or C# and .NET 5+ Experience coding client-side languages such as Vue.js, ReactJS and/or Angular Experience with build/package/deploy tools such as Gradle, Maven, NPM, and/or GitHub Actions Experience with relational database services such as SQL Server and/or Postgres Experience with Cloud services and architectural best practices within AWS Understanding of healthcare data and processes is a PLUS. Experience with automated testing, CI/CD is a PLUS. Experience with Kafka is a PLUS.Experience with TDD, BDD, automated testing, CI/CD is a Plus. Ability to work independently and resolve issues with minimal direction. Strong planning and organizational skills with critical attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
