CENTRAL MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY Associate Data Engineer II in Dublin, Ohio

  1. Develop, design, analyze, integrate, and configure insurance software data analytics applications and other internal software data analytics applications and systems used by Central Mutual Insurance internal team members and insurance agents in order to provide more meaningful insight to make impactful data-driven business decisions
  2. Code, test, and trouble shoot insurance software data analytics applications and other sophisticated internal software data analytics platform applications and systems in order to develop high performing and high volume data pipelines and to bring together complex information from different source systems
  3. Implement complex software testing for quality assurance and perform multifaceted extraction, transformation, and loading of business intelligence data by developing the corresponding software systems infrastructure amongst insurance software business intelligence data analytics applications to provide for more enhanced, efficient, and effective real-time insurance data analytics and results
  4. Design detailed and complex internal platform software business intelligence application architecture and program specifications for new business intelligence software applications while ensuring that expected application performance levels are achieved by managing interfaces, service levels, standards, data quality and privacy, and configurations
  5. Analyze and study insurance software business intelligence data analytics applications design and information needs, and recommend unique and customized technical solutions and upgrades to Engineering Managers while continuously researching and learning about new business intelligence information systems and software technology within the insurance industry that will help improve efficiency and effectiveness for overall business and data analytics
  6. Improve software applications and internal software business intelligence platform applications and systems already in place by collaborating with other software and information technology team members and studying current practices, identifying problems, designing modifications, and writing improved software coding procedures
  7. Confer with Analytics, Finance, and Business Unit team members to gain better understanding of needed changes or modification of existing Central Mutual Insurance software business intelligence data analytics applications and internal software systems, and resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, data tables, and internal checks and controls

A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and Management, Computer Science, or Information Systems is required (a foreign educational equivalent is acceptable). Also required is 24 months of employment experience as an Application Engineer or Business Intelligence Developer.

The primary worksite location is at Central Mutual Insurance Company's Technology Office at 6620 Mooney Street, Dublin, Ohio 43017; however, Central Mutual Insurance Company will allow telecommuting from any residence location in the United States to perform work exclusively from such residence location.
