Amazon Vendor Product Analyst, Re:Cycle Reverse Logistics in Dublin, Ireland

Description

The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Operation team offers worldwide cloud computing providers with a centralized means to sort, function test, in-warranty return, and disposition server and networking components that break or are no longer needed in the supply chain. The team is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and self-driven Vendor Product Analyst to support these global operations by driving quality control and user performance in the organization’s warehouse management system. This role will be responsible for defining product quality requirements, documenting and tracking user-acceptance test results, collaborating with system provider to debug before and after production release, developing training to support new feature adoption, and tracking production feature performance and bugs to continually raise the bar for product quality and efficiency. This scope will provide the opportunity to learn the depths of a complex reverse logistics warehouse management system, and to directly improve operations for 700+ global users.

Requirements include:

• Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally

• Occasional walking in the building and surrounding area; facilities are over a quarter mile in length

• Standing and walking for up to 8 – 10 hours a day

Key job responsibilities

• Collaborating with software developers and product managers on new features to proactively identify and solve for possible failure points, and to refine user experience.

• Defining, executing, and reporting on documented test strategies to ensure product readiness ahead of production launch.

• Preparing training materials to drive new feature adoption.

• Maintaining controls and configurations in product staging environments.

• Working with software developers to root cause and document system incidents for incorporation into team metrics and future feature testing strategies.

• Working with operations, analytics, and product teams to monitor and drive post-launch feature adoption.

• Auditing system data to identify and replicate breakdowns, and drive resolution with provider.

• Maintaining system ticket queue and providing regular status updates to users and leaders tracking system incidents.

• Advocating on behalf of the user by documenting problem statements, solutions, and impacts for design reviews and planning cycles.

A day in the life

Testing and documenting new product features, analyzing production performance and root causing gaps, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and working between operator, product, and software teams to ensure that only top notch features make it to production are all in a day’s work for the Vendor Product Analyst.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting software configuration/administration, software development/implementation, or continuous operational improvement for a warehousing, manufacturing, data center, or reverse logistics environment

• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

• 1+ years of experience using warehouse management and/or inventory control systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proven track record for improving metrics and performance to SLA

• Experience managing a 3rd party vendor

• Familiarity with data mining and visualization tools (SQL, Tableau, etc.)

• Experience in AWS platforms, (S3, RedShift, etc.)

• Experience using programming languages (Java, HTML, etc.)
