Microsoft Corporation Senior Supply Chain Manager - Sales Operations in Dublin, Ireland

The Microsoft Devices Organization (part of the Experiences + Devices division) is critical to delivering on this mission and vision, maintaining responsibility for the end-to-end physical and digital supply chains for Microsoft’s vast array of existing and next-generation hardware and software products including: Surface, Surface Go, Surface Hub, HoloLens, Xbox, Accessories, Games, Windows, Office and more.  

As we continue down the path of delivering on our customer promise, we are looking to hire a Integrated Business Planning Manager for the EMEA operating center.  The Manager will manage a team and oversee all aspects of Integrated Business Planning, including demand planning and product category management - from launch to end of life, working cross-functionally to achieve optimal business results, ensuring the right product gets to the right place at the right time, with maximum efficiency.   The role involves direct engagement with partners across Retail, Microsoft Stores, and Commercial segments as well as all of our internal teams within Devices Supply Chain such as Demand and Supply Planning, S&OP, Operations, Fulfillment and Logistic

The successful candidate must be a self-starter with proven skills in driving key initiatives with results through engagement with internal partners, have a solid acumen for demand and supply management, inventory management, collaborative planning and forecasting (CPFR), and business/performance management (understanding performance and supply flow in the context of financial and inventory targets). The candidate will be a problem solver and be resourceful, creative and willing to work with and through others to be successful.  Collaboration is a critical skill in this role.  Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical thinking are necessary for driving a high level of impact and influence in this capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Create a thriving organisation. Coach and develop a world class team,remove obstacles to enable the team and the business hit its financial/operational/developmentgoals

  • Drive discussions of the Regional IBP monthly rhythm of business meetings for leaders and representatives of related groups. Curate and interpret analyses and reports considered during planning alignment, address any blockers, and lead any follow-up actions

  • Create alignment in the overall executive Integrated Business Plan (IBP), participate in global forums as needed on behalf of region.Drive stakeholder alignment related to a portfolio of products or services. Coordinate with each group to drive action efforts across teams, while advising on risks and opportunities associated with decisions. Act as the supply chain operations representative, driving short-term and long-term demand and supply balancing to achieve financial and operations targets

  • Drive thought leadership on demand sensing and CPFR methodologies for all stages of the product lifecycle. Programmatically oversee EMEA product launch and product transitions ensuring that Microsoft is flawlessly managing customer expectations and operational targets

  • Ensure optimal channel inventory to maximize revenue opportunities, ensure key customers are supported across all of our customer segments and mitigate risk (excess, stranded inventory).

  • Ensure that key channel metrics are understood and actioned accordingly, including root cause investigation and leading cross-team efforts to drive necessary improvements.

  • Partner with Field and internal Supply Chain partners to project sell through, sell in and channel inventory for the quarter based on demand, supply, and customer orders to help the business manage financial and operational targets.

  • Work with the internal Planning, Channel Management, F&L and Planning teams to explore methods of optimizing In Stock % while balancing channel and DC weeks of supply.

  • Challenge the status quo via a growth mindset – strive for continuous improvement and customer-centrism in all aspects of decision making 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management with a Supply Chain or Operations field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, OR related field AND 8+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering,OR Project Management with a Supply Chain OR Operations field

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, OR related field AND 12+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, OR Project Management with a Supply Chain

  • 3+ years people management experience.
