Citigroup Senior Legal and Compliance Lead - Regulation Management in Dublin, Ireland

Team/Role Overview

Specifically, this role could provide you an opportunity to practice and learn about Citi products and services as well as applicable global financial regulations to those Citi products and services and regulatory risk management practices. In addition, you will be working in partnership with franchise-wide stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of all new regulatory changes. Legal Regulation Management is a global team with presence in London, New York, Tampa, Texas, North Carolina, Singapore, Mumbai, Frankfurt, Dublin and Warsaw. This role resides within the team responsible for the Europe and UK Clusters. The team is made up of 5 staff based across Dublin, Frankfurt and London. This team takes the first step in managing regulatory compliance risk through horizon scanning, evaluating and socializing of new and updated laws, rules and regulations. The team works closely with compliance officers across the EU and UK franchises. In this role, you will stay up-to-date on new regulatory developments as well as learn about Citi products offering across various jurisdictions.

What you’ll do

  • Complete daily horizon scanning of regulatory updates across various European financial regulators, scoping, analyzing, tiering, and processing of new applicable regulations within defined metrics.

  • Take responsibility for the socialization of new regulatory updates to your partners within Compliance, Markets, Wealth, Securities Services, Trades and Treasury and Global Functions.

  • Review of CUBE profiles that generate daily volume of regulatory developments for review and applicability dispositioning.

  • Work closely with Legal Advisory on interpretation of complex regulations and advise to Compliance partners.

  • Support Country Compliance Officers across Citi Europe countries with their daily regulatory change and CUBE profile management processes.

  • Run presentations in regulatory change forums, country compliance governance calls etc.

  • Be part of the monthly testing of internal controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of execution of regulatory change management processes.

What we’ll need from you

  • Knowledge of and experience in EU and UK financial regulations through practice, financial organization or working at the financial regulators and in analyzing the financial regulations and advising business partners to support their implementation of new/updated regulations.

  • Stakeholder management.

  • Good communication and data analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or French language(s) would be advantageous.
