This position is based in Waterford.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Procurement of key raw materials I components to support plant production

  • Monitoring and Management of inventory levels for key raw materials

  • Providing accurate forecast information to vendors.

  • •Executing RFQ’s and regular competitive benchmarking activities

  • •Managing suppliers and seeking continuous improvement in relation to supplier reliability, supplier schedule stability, schedule adherence, material cost reduction, freight cost reduction, material inventory reduction, supplier lead time reduction and obsolescence control.

  • Negotiation and implementation of supply agreements with key vendors

  • Identifying and implement cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives.

  • Managing supplier evaluation program within area of responsibility for key suppliers.

  • Supporting requirements for New Product Introductions and rationalisation of products

  • Working with Planning and Operations to ensure MRP Master data is maintained.

  • Supporting Financial Plan process.

  • Ensuring compliance with cGMP is adhered to at all times.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma Purchasing and Materials Management or related area.

  • MRP experience

  • Knowledge of ERPLx is desirable.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, influence and negotiation skills.

  • Providing Leadership and Mentorship within the team and provide good cover for the Procurement Manager.

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, sound judgment and ability to work on own initiative.

  • Proficient in problem solving and demonstrate financial acumen

  • 10-15 years procurement experience.

  • Direct material experience in cGMP environment would be a distinct advantage.
