Johnson Controls Project Manager – Dublin – Fire and Security Industry in Dublin, Ireland

What You Will Do

At Johnson Controls, our Project Managers are pivotal in delivering high-quality, major projects across various sectors. We're seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our team, focusing primarily on projects based in Dublin while covering the Republic of Ireland. We specialize in providing fire detection, security, and integrated solutions to end users, developers, and contractors.

In this role, you will be at the helm of managing and coordinating the delivery of integrated Fire and Security projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include comprehensive cost control, resolving any disputes, and producing monthly cost forecasts to ensure projected revenues and gross margins are met. You'll work closely with our customers, guiding them through the entire process, and planning both direct and indirect on-site resources. Health and Safety performance, including subcontract liabilities, will also be a key focus.

How You Will Do It

As a Project Manager at Johnson Controls, you’ll maintain a strong working relationship with the Contracts Manager to continually review, improve, and successfully achieve project objectives. You'll be accountable for managing large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards.

On-site, you will manage and coordinate teams of Johnson Controls engineers and subcontractors, conducting regular safety and quality audits to ensure all activities comply with defined procedures. Your role will also involve monitoring the Health & Safety of all allocated staff and subcontractors, ensuring strict compliance with all relevant legislation.

Additionally, you’ll be responsible for managing ICCA regulations, creating and enforcing method statements, risk assessments, and COSHH regulations, and conducting toolbox talks across all projects. Throughout each project, you’ll handle commercial negotiations and enforce contract terms as necessary.

What We Look For

  • Proven experience in managing the delivery of large and multiple concurrent projects within the Fire and Security, CCTV, Access Control, and Integrated Solutions industries.

  • Strong working knowledge of mainstream Fire, Access Control, CCTV systems, and networking, with demonstrable expertise in ICCA Regulations and managing Health & Safety on site.

  • Competence in producing Risk and Method Statements.

  • Ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in reviewing contracts, with a solid understanding of the construction act, payment terms, and applications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience in progress reporting and managing project dependencies.
