The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is currently seeking a results-orientated individual to join in the role of Grid Delivery Manager. In this role, the selected candidate will have the responsibility for delivering large scale critical HV/ MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate for this role will have a technical understanding of critical substation projects including cables and overhead lines, with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience delivering HV substation projects/programs from design through to energisation phase. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and a proven track record in delivering complex projects across diverse teams to tight timelines. Stakeholder management and weekly reporting on key project risks & issues at senior management, director and vice president level will be the candidate’s responsibility. The successful candidate will drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop tools for delivery executions, support financial budgeting and act as the point of contact between AWS and electricity utilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction or related field

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent

  • 5+ years experience delivering HV / MV grid interconnection projects, substations and overhead lines / cables, involving working with Electricity Utilities.

  • Understands HV / MV electrical safety standards & protocols.

  • Possesses strong organizational, communication and team building skills.

  • Ability to self-start and self-motivate in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% and International Business experience

– An understanding of how to successfully transact business in multiple cultural contexts as well as experience directly managing international teams is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree (MBA/MS).

  • Experience designing HV/MV substations or other energy infrastructure.

  • Experience working for electricity utilities and/or energy regulators.

  • Ability to converse in French or Italian is advantageous.
