The Director of Data Analytics will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of advanced reporting, analytic approaches, and tooling. You will work closely with other leaders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire organisation. We’re looking for a thought leader who thrives on architecting new solutions to solve tough challenges, and to help us on our mission of helping people live healthier lives.

The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with various business and data analytics teams, have proven business analysis experience, and the ability to manage multiple competing business projects at one time.

Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.

Primary Responsibilities of the Director of Data Analytics:

  • Lead data & analytic operations for the Chart targeting business processes

  • Gather operational metrics, define & create operational dashboards to monitor the business processes end to end

  • Own the operational readiness & implementation for changes to existing or new business processes

  • Proactively monitor/validate of all upstream dependencies for the analytic, own the quality of the analytic results and the operational processes

  • Analyze/understand complex data issues across multiple applications/teams, identify & document the root cause and steps to fix and/or prevent the issue from recurring.

  • Define/maintain standard operational procedures (SOPs) for all operational processes, accurately track variations based on client specific needs.

  • Make data driven decisions to bring operational efficiencies, improve the analytic as well as business processes

Required Qualifications of the Director of Data Analyicst:

  • Extensive experience in data analysis with relational and non-relational databases

  • Experience leading data and production operations in healthcare, including mentoring and leading other data analysts

  • Experience working with Healthcare datasets, such as claims, membership and provider data

  • Proven track record of driving business and data solutions in a complex data environment

  • Experience in driving decisions on complex problems with SME's and stakeholders

Preferred qualifications of the Director of Data Analytics:

  • Knowledge of Risk Adjustment and CMS Data

  • Experience as a Subject matter expertise in any sub domain of the healthcare industry

  • Experience using any reporting tools

  • Excellent written and communication skills
