TEKsystems Project Estimator in Dublin, California
Description
• Associates degree, trade school degree, or equivalent corporate or military training.
• A minimum of (5) years of technical experience including hands-on experience in the field.
• Ability to estimate complex projects including producing accurate materials take-offs and labor estimates, and costing from material suppliers, technical and trade partners.
• Experience estimating or managing projects of broad scope and scale valued at more than $2 million.
• Must have excellent communication skills including writing.
• Understanding of low voltage systems and technologies: Surveillance and Access Control, Audio Visual, Wi-Fi, DAS, structured cabling, OSP fiber/copper.
• Strong math and analytical skills, as well as the ability to perform with a high level of repeatable accuracy.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple project estimates concurrently while meeting deadlines.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive/SharePoint
• Experience working in a Union shop.
• Preferred:
• BICSI RCDD
• AutoCAD, Visio, and Blue Beam experience a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Review and understand Bid Documents including specifications and drawing packages.
• Meet with Clients and perform on-site job walks.
• Perform "take-offs" to develop Bill of Materials and project scope.
• Develop and work through RFI's for the purpose of developing estimates.
• Produce competitive project pricing, written scopes of work, construction drawings, bill of materials, and value engineered alternatives.
• Solicit and work with our Vendor Partners.
• Conduct scope reviews in preparation for hand off to the Sales Team.
• Create pre and as-built drawings in AutoCAD or Visio.
• Participate in ongoing training as new technologies are developed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00
