Eaton’s Electrical division in Dubai is currently a Specification Engineer to work closely with consultants in updating master specifications for low voltage switchgear, busway, and other related equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with consultants.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate closely with consultants to provide technical support and update master specifications for low voltage switchgear, busway, etc.

• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) alongside consultants

• Participate in site meetings with consultants to address their queries and secure project approvals

• Conduct short circuit fault level studies, selectivity studies, voltage drop calculations, and harmonic studies using both manual calculations and software tools

Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering graduation

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage switchgear, control gear, busway, motor starters, and active harmonic filters with an MNC or panel building company

Skills:

• Experience in switchboard design

• Basic knowledge of medium voltage (MV) switchgear and transformer products is an advantage

• Familiarity with IEC 61439, IEC 60947, IEC 61641 series, and various international standards

• Experience in writing project specification compliance

• Familiarity with various UAE utilities regulations

• Knowledge of various makes of switchgear and control gear products and switchboard systems

• Proficiency in Salesforce, AutoCAD, and product and switchboard design software tools

• Ability to present products and conduct technical training for consultants

• Fluent in English

• Arabic language knowledge is an advantage

• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage

• Willingness to travel within the UAE on a daily basis
