Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the West Crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The interior of the resort is inspired by the ancient palaces of the Ottoman Era and features hand-painted finishings, artworks and stunning murals influenced by the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire. The resort features 405 rooms and suites, 38 Royal Villas, and the award-winning Talise Ottoman Spa, one of the largest and most luxurious spas in the Middle East. About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Revenue Manager to join the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. Your key responsibilities will include:
Manages all rooms related pricing approvals/authorizations, discounts, upgrades, and restrictions across Hotel.
Monitors price points across the hotel against the competitive landscape and makes recommendations /changes to ensure hotel pricing decisions are based on value, demand, pace, and competitive pricing.
Develop, monitor, and adjust sales and pricing strategies. Review pricing across all distribution platforms to ensure that the pricing decisions between IDeaS, Opera, SynXis, and OTA Insight are all in line.
Updates Wholesale Pricing Tool to ensure the pricing gaps between static (wholesale) and dynamic are efficient.
Reviews/Approves all external communication on pricing before it is distributed to partners to ensure terms & conditions are clear and following Jumeirah Pricing Guidelines.
Maintains the transient rooms inventory for the hotel and is responsible for maximizing transient revenue and straight-line availability through the effective use of IDeaS, Opera, SynXis, and wholesale free sale charts.
Prepares weekly and monthly forecasts. Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Uses IDeaS G3 to optimize configuration to achieve forecast accuracy within 5% and ensures pricing recommendations are adhered to while keeping system overrides to a limit of 30% for the next 365 days.
Prepares and leads weekly revenue meetings.
Identifies changes in trends when applicable.
Reviews all group blocks to ensure that rooms are released back into inventory promptly
Review strategic positioning of the hotel in the next 12 to 18 months.
Highlights discrepancies in market segmentations and ensures the quality of reservations are correct and standards are followed.
Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information.
Manage all aspects of rate & inventory management as outlined in the services contract.
Ensures that all rates and offers are loaded as per company policy and brand standards.
Ensures Jumeirah Pricing guidelines are followed and adhered to across all segments.
Works with the Conversion/Groups Team to ensure MAR rates and catering-related strategies are implemented.
Promotes and protects brand equity.
Ensures team members have current knowledge of all relevant processes, policies, and promotions to perform their duties.
Prepare training materials, training schedules, and systems training for the team members. Provides training as required to ensure colleagues adhere to the standards and they are understood and followed.
Implementing and recognizing potential opportunities within the system to enhance hotel performance.
Continually evaluate goal-setting strategies and seek ways to make sure Colleagues are working in the best and most efficient way possible.
Accomplishes department objectives by managing colleagues; planning and evaluating department activities where applicable.
Focus on development of Colleague-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention, development, and high performance.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
Minimum 3 years’ of experience in a Revenue management operational role preferably from hotel industry in Luxury segment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in Hotel Administration or Business Administration
Experience in or exposure to Events Management, Sales, and Reservation
Capable in basic mathematics, including the calculation of common statistics, ratios, and percentages, and have a working knowledge of simple algebra
Fully knowledgeable of Opera, SynXis, or similar CRS
Fully knowledgeable of IDeaS Revenue Management System
Advanced Microsoft Excel
Understand Group and Catering positioning within a hotel
Excellent written and verbal English skills
Good presentation and training skills
Understanding of need time strategy as developed by revenue management
