Be part of our QM & EHS team as a QC Engineer – Mechanical (Industrial Automation Projects) in Dubai/Project Sites in UAE.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Implement a Quality Control function within the project business and corporate, conforming to Company Quality principles, Client/Consultant requirements, International Standards and Norms, and Industry best practices.

  • Ensure quality control in mechanical and steelworks fabrication and installation works is in line with the Company’s quality principles and Client/Consultant requirements.

  • Ensure quality control in project execution documentation, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Develop and implement the project documentation, including inspection, test plans, pertinent records, method statements, supplier quality requirements, and analysis for supplier approval.

  • Prepare and submit technical documentation such as Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), and Material Submittals (MS) from the supplier and subcontractor to the Client/Consultant as part of the project deliverables.

  • Plan and prepare the end-of-project documentation for the Client/Consultant as part of the project quality deliverables.

  • Participate in the ISO Internal Audits/Certification Audits for the Integrated Management System (IMS).

  • Assist in implementing the project quality plan with a Quality Management System (IMS), including developing quality-related procedures, work instructions, forms, etc.

  • Control of nonconformity and corrective action and identify and implement improvement opportunities to proactively ensure the preventive action is effectively implemented to avoid recurrence.

  • Carry out supplier audits, incoming inspections, in-process inspections, installation and commissioning inspections using appropriate documentation and the recording of inspection and test results.

  • Carry out Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) to fulfil the project-specific quality requirements.

  • Prepare and deliver regular work reports and plan and manage personal work schedules to meet project deadlines.

  • Proactively follow-ups with Project management and subcontractor(s) to close the open snags/non-conformities.

  • Prepare, carry out and write reports for internal and supplier audits.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a quality control engineer in a project-based environment in the industrial automation field.

  • ISO Auditor certification.

  • Hands-on experience in mechanical and steelworks fabrication and installation works in line with International standards.

  • Good knowledge of mechanical and steelworks Quality Control in industrial projects is preferred.

  • Experience in writing reports and policies.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • Effective skills in stakeholder management/supplier management and other interested parties.

  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.

  • Diligent with great attention to detail and good organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
