Trade Working Capital Loan is one of the biggest products for global Trade business accounting for around one third of total Trade GAAP assets. You’ll gain comprehensive knowledge of lending products and develop expertise in structuring them

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Structuring & Lending Specialist to champion the commercialization of traditional and structured loan solutions across the Middle East and Africa region. In addition, the role supports execution of the TWCS strategy in the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). This involves the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position

We have unique opportunity for you to lead the product development and commercialization of trade and commodity finance solutions. New product development involves developing novel structures for entirely new offerings and strategizing the introduction of existing products to fresh markets

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the product management processes and have worked with various functional partners from sales, operation, technology, risk and coverage teams. MEA region is quite complex and exciting region with over 30+ countries and over 200+ existing clients. It’s a great region to learn, practice and develop knowledge about trade finance and transaction banking products

Loan Product Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new trade & working capital lending products (e.g. Borrowing Base Finance, Commodity Finance solutions and Sustainable Finance product) and services that meet the needs of the bank's customers.

  • Product specialist across traditional trade and working capital loan products (Example – Import & Export loans, Electronic Loans and FI Trade Advance solution).

  • Conduct market research, analyze competitor offerings and identify product gaps. Stay up to date on industry trends and regulations around Sustainability and Commodity Finance themes.

  • Provide structuring and product expertise on complex trade finance transactions on case-by-case basis.

  • Develop product requirements and specifications to provide the business case for investment spend.

  • Work with sales, engineering, risk and marketing teams to develop and execute product and platform commercialization plans.

  • Monitor and manage product performance and customer success for new and existing trade finance products.

  • Drive and contribute towards capital optimization and risk distribution initiatives

  • Run number of strategic initiatives (E.g. Target Operating Model, Digitization and Commercialization of digital trade loan capabilities)

  • Guardian of risk and controls and help with implementation of new policies under Wholesale Credit Review initiative

SSA TWCS Product Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans and execute functional strategies for multiple countries, Cluster, or business requiring coordination and integration across units as well as provide input into strategic decisions affecting job family or function within a region or business

  • Lead innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products, manage ongoing relationships, exercise control over resources, policy formation, and planning, and prepare agreements

  • Drive towards achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience in commodity finance (PXF, Prepayment and BBF product) will be huge plus.

  • Strong understanding of corporate lending products

  • Experience in structured finance, counterparty risk management, and legal documentation is huge plus. This includes drafting and reviewing LMA based loan and security documents.

  • Prior experience in product management and development roles in a bank or FinTech will be useful
