At our Dubai MRO Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft systems. As part of our planned continued expansion we require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with customers.

An opportunity has arisen for a Cell Lead for our Dubai MRO Galley Insert Systems. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a diverse team.

Job Duties:

  • Work closely with the Inspection team for process sharing and ensure all units are successfully transitioned for packing.

  • Manage the repair team to establish best class TAT for overhaul.

  • Build intelligence on frequency and complexity of repairs for production planning.

  • Participate in shop and facility Continuous Improvement activities and initiatives. Implement lean operations.

  • Work with Technical Support Engineers to develop, interpret and rework aircraft parts in accordance with approved data.

  • Perform mid-level (moderately complex) testing or mechanical operations on production/repair components including troubleshooting to component level.

  • Perform inspection, repair and components equipment’s and ensure compliance with stated requirements of the Original Equipment Manufacturers' (OEM) Component Maintenance/Overhaul Manuals.

  • Ensure works including receipt/strip/clean/survey/build/test/lockwire and progressive/final/release inspection are carried out as approved by the Quality Department.

  • Complete on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and required reading.

  • Repair, modify, replace or otherwise perform routine aircraft component maintenance work, assist shop floor repair as necessary to support customer requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.

  • Complete job assignments in a timely manner.

  • Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification.

  • Help with general clean-up of work area. Ensure 5S Culture is followed.

  • Perform shop audits as scheduled.

  • Perform area cleaning and maintenance as posted or required.

  • Administers and enforces Shop Rules, Safety Rules, and Regulations which may require disciplinary action being taken for infraction(s).

  • Maintains and reviews production requirements with the Operations Manager.

  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the EHS policy and management system, the importance of conforming to EHS policies and procedures, and consequences of failing to comply with EHS policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of EHS risks and impacts of work activities and the benefits of improving EHS performance.

  • Acquire necessary EHS competencies in accordance with EHS Competencies & Training policy.

  • Work with a “Quality First” mindset.

  • Leads real time problem resolution activities.

  • Ad hoc tasks, as required or as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Aerospace/Aeronautical Degree

  • Aerospace industry experience (minimum 3 years), preferably in an MRO.

  • Experience in Leading a team.

  • Mechanical / electrical background & aptitude. Preferably Galley experience.

  • Experience with calibration equipment, blueprints, schematics, and precision measuring equipment preferred.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and a willingness to assist other departments as necessary.

  • Past aerospace industry experience preferred.

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) and other repair manuals and technical data.

  • Ability to learn on the job.

  • Fluent in English.
