Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Controller in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. The Controller will be primarily involved in the financial management of the organization, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, operational tracking, and the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Drive all aspects of financial management within the organization

• Handle corporate accounting tasks and maintain a systematic approach to financial record keeping

• Prepare and present regulatory and financial reports in a timely and accurate manner

• Develop and manage the organization's budget and forecast preparation

• Track operational metrics and present financial findings and insights

• Develop and manage internal control policies and procedures

• Manage the Accounting Functions and Budget Processes

• Oversee monthly financials and monthly quarterly journal entries

• Handle asset inventory tasks and ensure all assets are accounted for properly

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Budget Processes

• Ability to prepare Monthly Financials

• Experience with Monthly and Quarterly Journal Entries

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred)

• CPA certification is a plus

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial forecasting and reporting

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
