POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning), refrigeration, and general mechanical repairs to all facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance checks and repairs equipment as required.
- Maintains a log system detailing routine checks and repairs on HVAC refrigeration equipment.
- Repairs all heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and mechanical equipment throughout the Center.
- Specifically called on to do the following:
- Thoroughly cleans condensers.
- Checks that fan/motor rotates freely.
- Checks and adds all types of refrigerants as required.
- Checks and adjusts electrical, plumbing and refrigeration lines.
- Rebuilds and repairs equipment such as compressor and condensing units, pumps, and valves.
Performs duties of Engineer when required.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- High school diploma or equivalent or trade school.
- Must have at least five (5) years' full experience with all types of HVAC equipment and controls and provide adequate background to verify competency.
- Applicant must be physically able to meet the requirements of moderate to heavy lifting.
- Universal Refrigeration CFC license (capable large tonnage refrigeration).
- Water Source Heat Pump Experience.
- Electronic Builder Management System.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
