Robert Half Human Resources Generalist in Downers Grove, Illinois

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist to join our client's team, located in Downer Grove, IL.

As an HR Generalist, you will be accountable for a variety of HR activities, including recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, and change management, among others.

Key Job Roles and Duties:

In this role, you'll manage various day-to-day human resources activities for our client's corporate headquarters and multi-state remote workforce. This involves recruitment, onboarding, administration of health & welfare benefits, performance management, and policy changes aiming to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You'll also support job evaluations, salary surveys, and other compensation-related activities. Another important part of your role involves staying updated with HR and industry trends to ensure that HR practices are current. Additionally, you'll manage service awards and matching gift programs, compile data-driven reports, and support the integration process during company acquisitions. Assistance with administrative tasks and other assigned projects will also be required. Requirements • Must have at least 3 years corporate human resources Generalist experience • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in Human Resources or related field desirable. • Proven track record in maintaining positive Employee Relations • Experience in managing Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) matters • Demonstrated ability in Full Cycle Recruiting, including Recruiting Activities, Recruiting Efforts, and Recruiting Strategies • Expertise in conducting New permanent Orientations and implementing effective Onboarding processes • Proficient in Performance Management techniques and strategies • Familiarity with UltiPro and UltiPro HRIS software systems a plus • Experience with UKG Pro HRIS system is desirable • Must pass all required pre-employment screenings • Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
