Crystal Cruises A&K Product Operations Specialist in Downers Grove, Illinois

Position Summary

The Product Operations Specialist supports the departmental objectives to meet A&K USA's overall strategy and commercial goals for Private Jet and Special Interest Travel programs. This position supports all phases of operating these programs, including but not limited to guest documents, operational amenities preparation, and vendor communications. Throughout the product life cycle, this position assists in the compilation and management of data and information for internal use and analysis and provides detailed destination, product, price, and date information to other departments to support the product build in Travel Studio and the sales and marketing functions.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Adherence to marketing and operational timelines.

  • Assist in research of competitive products and prepare data for analysis.

  • Compile product information for accurate and timely Travel Studio implementation and maintain the integrity of information for these products in Travel Studio.

  • Manage program inventory and communicate guest information and rooming lists to vendors in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that vendor contract requirements are met.

  • Accurately compile and distribute in a timely fashion product information and updates necessary for product sales and support.

  • Support product in development as needed.

  • Maintain general knowledge of all destinations featured on A&K private jet trips, Inspiring Expeditions by Geoffrey Kent and other private label programs.

  • Assist in the creation and preparation of guest documents.

  • Liaise with amenities suppliers if and as needed.

  • Communicate with hotels, vendors/DMCs regarding reservations and itinerary requirements.

  • Maintain an organized and efficient filing system that includes an up-to-date list of all file titles for easy reference and retrieval.

  • Proof all product and marketing-related information for accuracy and contractual compliance.

  • Partner with other departments as needed to address internal requirements.

  • Complete all projects and other assignments in a timely and efficient manner.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and a collaborative perspective.

  • Skilled in program logistics and operations, with a strong understanding of costing and itinerary construction.

  • Skilled in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and workload management.

  • Strong knowledge of World Geography.

  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Knowledge of and competency in the A&K Reservations System (Travel Studio)

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree or related industry experience preferred

  • Proven experience in travel program logistics and operations in the travel and/or hospitality industries.

Special requirements

  • Must maintain a valid passport.

  • Occasional travel, sometimes on short notice.
