About the Team

The team manages telecom infrastructure that connects Audio Conferencing, Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center. By employing robust operational and monitoring strategies, they guarantee the stability and security of Zoom's infrastructure, allowing millions of users worldwide to connect effortlessly.

Responsibilities

Supporting Zoom’s SIP based products and global carrier services.

Working closely with Carrier Ops, DevOps, and Networking teams for deploying and testing carrier trunks.

Working with Solution Engineer, Customer, and Engineering teams for designing and implementing SIP Connected Audio (SCA) solutions.

Being Tier - 3 level support for carrier connectivity issues.

Leading troubleshooting and escalation efforts with service providers.

Initiating and implement product enhancements to improve routing efficiency and service reliability.

Designing and implement monitoring systems for trunk status and utilization.

Building real-time monitors to detect carrier issues, config alerting, analyze trends, and aid in troubleshooting.

Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.Follow the operational process and take rotational on call work.

What we’re looking for

5+ years working within the Telecommunications industry whether for a Carrier or having managed Carriers.

3+ year’s experience working at or with Enterprise level companies.

Have a deep level understanding of SIP, RTP, RTCP, TLS, SRTP, and related technologies

Have a solid familiarity with TCP handshake, Wireshak, packet capture, Spearline, SIP call flows, TLS configurations and troubleshooting.

Have a good understanding of various SBC platforms and telephony softwares (e.g., FreeSwitch, Ribbon SBC, PSX, and OpenSIP).

Have a good understanding of voice quality as it applies to packet loss, jitter, MoS, QoS.

Have proficiency in BGP network routing protocol and VoIP architectures

Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Kentik, Linux, and Networking protocols.Having experience in ELK, Grafana, Splunk and other monitoring/scripting tools is a plus.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$94,600.00

Maximum:

$218,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
