We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Public Works Department as a Motor Equipment Operator I.The primary duties of this position are to maintain, repair, replace, clean: culverts, swales, catch basins, manholes, inlet grates, etc. Address ponded water issues, leaf collection, snow and ice control, vehicle/equipment maintenance, etc. The successful candidate will work under a varying degree of supervision. Normal duty hours are 7:00 am 3:30 pm. Overtime is required as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Replace, repair, clean and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure
- Build, replace, maintenance, install catch basins
- Lays blacktop and pours concrete as directed
- Sweeper debris collection and disposal
- Snow and ice control; emergency weather event attendance required, brine application
- Operates equipment to transport materials, tools, equipment, or personnel to job sites, load or haul dirt, or pick up debris from job sites
- Assists with traffic control and provides information to the public if required
