Fully Remote - Equipment Provided! Contract: 6 months (possible extension) Must have experience with Leave Management The Leave specialist is responsible for the coordination and administration of the leave process which includes analytical, planning, reporting, technical, systems and project support. The Leave specialist will also help resolve concerns and issues from employees, managers, business partners, and other customers and external parties regarding processes and policies through phone and case management. This person will strive to meet all expected service levels and business performance goals, performing a full range of services and fully documenting all cases in the case management system.

salary: $25 - $28 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM

education: Associate

Responsibilities

  • Process leave applications in the PeopleSoft system.

  • Maintain accurate records of employees on leave.

  • Develop and send letters detailing leave status, pay, benefits, and return-to-work implications.

  • Collaborate with occupational health staff on the return-to-work process.

  • Research leave issues, first-level escalations, and individual employee concerns.

  • Instruct employees, department managers, and timekeepers on leave procedures and time reporting.

  • Provide guidance on leave policies, federal/state leave laws, and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Respond to customer requests and inquiries across multiple channels (phone, email, chat, etc.), prioritizing and resolving efficiently.

  • Perform payroll activities to support leave timekeepers, including data entry and report review.

  • Instruct timekeepers on appropriate time reporting during leaves.

  • Interact with vendors to ensure accurate payments of disability and MAPFML benefits.

  • Provide analytical and production support for leave records.

  • Fully document cases in the case management system, updating processes as necessary.
