Kelly, in partnership with a growing food distribution and manufacturing company is looking for a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician in Douglasville, GA.

This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Details:

• 1 st shift: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday

• Pay: $30 - $40 per hour plus up to an additional $4.50 per hour in incentive pay!

Job Description:

• Reviews daily the system trends to evaluate the performance of the system.

• Monitors all ammonia deliveries and responds to all ammonia system alarm calls.

• Conducts daily rounds as assigned and assess the information gathered during the rounds looking for proper system operation.

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local agencies, including but not limited to OSHA and EPA.

• Ensures the efficient operation of the refrigeration system.

• Repair and maintain refrigeration equipment and facility heating and cooling equipment.

• Complete daily preventive maintenance and reports as tasks are completed.

• Conduct water treatment testing and make necessary adjustments as needed.

• Follows through and completes all assigned work orders in a timely manner.

• Assists in the Development of an ammonia release evacuation plan and assists in conducting training and evacuation drills.

• Troubleshoots and resolves refrigeration system electrical problems.

• Conduct tests of safety equipment and personal protective equipment. (PPE).

• Inspect refrigeration systems daily to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements.

• Collaborates on the Process Safety Manual (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RPM) programs.

Requirements:

• Must have extensive knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations, including OSHA 1910.119 and EPA 40 CFR 68.

• Must understand the principles of ammonia refrigeration

• Ability to read and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams. (P&IDs)

• How to properly wear and maintain personal protective equipment, including respirator. (PPE)

• Knows the proper pressure and temperature settings for the system and all equipment. Understands how to review and change settings when necessary
