Who will you be working with?

Our Doncaster team supports our customers through maintenance and operation optimisation with customised solutions for spare parts, repair, and overhaul activities on existing trains.

Role: Production Planner (Freight)

Salary: £Competitive

Location: Doncaster (On-site)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00am to 16:30pm, and Friday 08:00am to 13:00pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays (plus 8 bank holidays)

How will you make a difference?

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our dynamic team at our Doncaster Faverily site. The Freight Planner will be accountable for the safe and efficient planning and delivery of all Freight Offsite contracts.

This will be a crucial role in managing and supporting the detailed planning of our customers workload and detailed planning of component parts across our team.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Determine and communicate long term operational capacity for planning.

  • Ensure operational plans are developed, implemented, and meet customer schedules.

  • Consistently meet and maintain on-time delivery (OTD) targets ensuring a class-leading standard of customer delivery.

  • Constantly review progress against schedules to provide early and good communications to the customers (internal and external).

  • Monitor production plans throughout the day monitoring any risks to the plan or on time delivery.

  • Consider all necessary parts, people, tooling, and equipment to meet daily requirements.

  • Communicate production progress to the Operations lead, Operations Coordinator and Project Team members. Highlighting risks, actions, and successes

  • Ensure all maintenance records are completed in a timely manner.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Experience in providing customer focused service delivery in a safety and service critical operational environment.

  • Proven experience in performance tracking and improvement management across contracts and products.

  • Strong background in data and statistical analysis and trends

  • Sound understanding of Health and Safety legislation.

  • Commercial/legal awareness

  • Sound IT skills (particularly MS Excel and Laptop/Tablet computers).
