Title and Summary

Director: Training Hub

Mastercard is seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional to lead its Training Hub in Qatar to oversee the creation of a premium learning experience center of the future, leveraging new tech, academia and business. As the Director of the Training Hub, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training programs for Mastercard’s EEMEA customer base. The role focuses on enabling customer growth, fostering innovation, and ensuring our customers are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in a rapidly evolving financial services industry. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and subject matter experts to ensure training is aligned with Mastercard’s business goals and core values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:

Lead and manage Mastercard’s Training Hub, aligning training initiatives with business objectives and customer needs.

• Training Program Development:

Oversee the development of cutting-edge training solutions, including online, blended, and in-person learning experiences, ensuring that content is relevant, engaging, and impactful. Translate a deep understanding of our customers education and training needs into products and solutions that drive significant customer value.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and regional customer base to identify training opportunities and ensure alignment with Mastercard’s strategic priorities.

• Team Management:

Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.

• Quality Assurance & Evaluation:

Implement rigorous assessment and feedback mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of the training hub and make data-driven improvements.

• Innovation & Technology:

Drive the adoption of advanced technologies and Mastercard Digital Innovation products and services to enhance learning experiences and improve scalability.

• Budget & Resource Management:

Manage the training hub’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet center objectives.

• Global Coordination:

Ensure consistency and scalability of training initiatives across all regions while allowing for local customization where necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• 10+ years of experience in learning and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role.

• Proven experience in managing global training programs in a large, multinational organization.

• Strong understanding of modern training methodologies, adult learning principles, and digital learning platforms.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with diverse teams across multiple regions.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with financial services and the digital payments industry is a plus.

• Familiarity with Design Thinking and rapid prototyping is a plus.
