Job Overview:

The Permit To Work (PTW) Coordinator reports directly to the site Project Construction Manager. In this capacity the PTW Coordinator has the responsibility of overseeing the Subcontractors PTW trained supervisors and assist with the setup of the PTW system on site in Ras Laffan. Works closely with the Subcontractor Site Supervisors for all detailed Method Statements, JSA’s for the work planning activities, assembly of drawings, etc. for both self-performing and subcontracted works at the project worksite.

Along with overseeing the Subcontractors PTW system development and preparation of site PTW packages. The position will need to have a clear understanding of the permitting process and function inside Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) associated with RLC / QE / QG permitting requirements. PTW Coordinator needs to have a Level 1 PTW certification and understanding of the daily permitting requirements within RLIC.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Subcontractors PTW team to ensure permits are prepared and submitted for approval on a daily basis

• Assists as required to prepare the Method Statements, drawings, instructions and documents to obtain the PTW

• Keeps track and organized to know where each permit is and controls the issue and close out after each shift

• Ensures the PTW system is enforced / followed and company policies, project rules, and employee discipline is also followed

• Works to assist the various craft Superintendents on the issuing and following the PTW permitting system

• PTW Coordinator ensures the Subcontractor manages his permit request a minimum 3 days in advance

• Coordinates with the authorizing authorities to ensure a smooth flow from Permit submittal to close out

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Candidate must have 5+ years of PTW working experience and 2+ years working history in Ras Laffan

• Has strong supervisor and organizational skills

• Strong communications skills and understands, speaks and writes English proficiently

• Holds a PTW – 1 or 2 certificate, along with the require HSE training with QE / QG is a plus
