Job Posting Summary

As a Mercy Navigator you will play a crucial role in supporting new students as they transition into college life. You will serve as a peer mentor to first year students, developing meaningful relationships both in and outside of the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to students on campus resources, college expectations, campus involvement & other transition areas.

  • Conduct outreach to first year students over the phone, email and in person.

  • Assist faculty in first year seminar course by participating in at least 3 classes per term.

  • Serve as a positive role model by being available to students, exhibiting responsible behavior, and by supporting an inclusive environment.

  • Plan and execute your own events targeting first year students.

  • Engage first year students by bringing them to different events on campus.

Qualifications

  • Be knowledgeable on campus resources, college expectations, campus involvement & other transition areas.

  • Exhibit clear communication to first year students over the phone, email and in person.

  • Assist faculty in first year seminar course by participating in at least 3 classes per term.
