DJBOSS : Supervisor - Food Services

Supervisor- Food Services

Operates and maintains all aspects of a Dining Facility Kitchen operation. Programs menus, orders ration and supplies, develops, and enforces sanitation, security and safety standards, trains employees, maintains and orders equipment, evaluates employee’s job performance and placement of personnel to effectively perform mission. Monitors and maintains food storage, preparation and sanitation facilities, food temperatures, and food preparation. Ensures that all reports, inventories, and headcount are maintained to 100% accuracy. Follows and enforces requirements in the Food Service SOP, NAVSUP 486, and NAVMED 5010 Chapter 1.

Minimum Skills:

• ​ Must have SERV Safe Food Protection Manager certification or ANSI approved equivalent.

• Must know how to perform Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word computer applications.

• Must have either 5 years Kitchen experience / cooking or have 3 years’ Experience as Food Service or Kitchen Supervisor

• Must have passed a current Food Service medical screening.

  Preferred Skills:

  Previous experience in management of large-scale cafeteria-style food service operations or hotel management environment a plus.

  Culinary Certification a plus.

  Additional requirements:

• Must be fluent in English.

• Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.

• Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
