Working conditions involve outdoor work, often in inclement weather. Daily travel is often required under poor rood conditions or on back roads. The knowledge, skills and abilities of this position are normally attained through experience in the construction trades with an emphasis on natural and recreational resources. Job Duties: Maintaining, repairing and constructing buildings, fences, facilities, roads trails, pedestrian bridges, signage that provide safe and enjoyable recreational opportunities to the public. Maintains equipment fleets in a proactive sustainable manner. Assists in Regional weed control efforts as needed, including habitat improvement work on Wildlife Management Areas, general maintenance of Fishing Access Sites, and consistent general maintenance at regional State Parks. Regional and site-specific tasks may exist, and other duties may be assigned. This position will also need to have basic computer skills, such as the ability to work with Microsoft Office programs. Tracking regional maintenance expenditures and activities will be an important duty of this position. Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience): The knowledge, skills, and abilities of this position are normally attained through combination of education and experience equivalent to ahigh school diploma or equivalency and three years of job-related experience.
