Nushagak Cooperative Telecom Operations Manager in Dillingham, Alaska
Day to Day administration of all internal operations by directing activities of the communications divisions administration and finance operation by scheduling and assigning work, determining methods for doing work, checking quality of work, answering questions, handling personnel issues, and monitoring workflow to ensure timely completion of activities. Prepares long and short term budgets and work plans used in implementation of Board of Directors objectives. Monitors adherence to budgets and work plans to ensure objectives are met. Evaluates viability of new technology and service offerings for continued company development and expansion. Reviews compensation arrangements to ensure that settlements, pooling, and access revenues are maintained and regulatory changes affecting revenue requirements are communicated to appropriate staff. Regulatory compliance to ensure compliance with industry specifications, standards, regulations and laws. To review operational practices, create and enforce compliance plans, and perform regulatory risk management. Works closely with the contractor for technical support to bring equipment online, migrate cabling, troubleshoot the Microwave radios and troubleshoot services for members. Monitor and manage daily telecommunications/Internet operations of the cooperative, managing the Microwave radio network via dashboards, checking radio logs/alarms daily, managing site facilities, generator power, battery plant and environmental controls. Identify areas of concern and develop plans for proactive maintenance. Works closely with the Electric Operations Manager to ensure communications, broadband, cable television/Internet facilities are constructed correctly by the construction crew. Performs special projects as requested by CEO/GM Serves as acting CEO/GM in the absence of the CEO/GM as needed Performs all other duties as assigned by CEO/GM
