Gold Standard Diagnostics is an International Business Line (IBL) within the Eurofins Network focused on providing fast, reliable, and easy to use diagnostic test kits and instruments in bio-analytical testing for the food, feed, environmental, biopharma, and clinical industries. The in-house R&D teams have expertise in developing a wide range of innovative methods and applications to meet the testing needs of both research and industry. The IBL comprises of more than 15 entities worldwide, mostly in Europe and North America.

 

The International Commercial Controller provides business partnership to the management and sales teams and plays a key role in the continuous development of tools and deliverables including reporting and planning process to drive commercial performance (sales scope worldwide greater than €100 million).

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Drive and support the continuous development and improvement of our product/customer masterdata, to ensure efficiency, data quality and compatibility with IT/ERP projects.

  • Manage monthly global sales reports and help the sales teams understand and improve the worldwide commercial performance, identify trends and performance-drivers, analyse variances against the past and the plan, compute and report volume/price analysis on a quarterly basis.

  • Work closely with the sales teams and directors to identify the relevant business’ KPIs and how to track them; coordinate, control, and follow-up on price changes; co-develop pricing and margin approaches and tools.

  • Co-design and implement the sales planning process to embed volume and price assumptions into budget assumptions, ensuring that there is a clear storyline for the IBL and finding the right balance between detail/precision and efficiency.

  • Support the IBL CFO on ad-hoc financial topics and projects.

  • Provide lean and remote business partnering support to certain local entities.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Execute global sales report, TCPC report, ad-hoc required reports

  • Ensure compliance to Global internal financial policy

  • Communicate and work together with sales, product management, general management departments

  • Support Sales department

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commercial reporting and controlling – sales, margin, SKU

  • Master Data management and improvement

  • Budgeting, financial planning and analysis of several entities

  • Ad-hoc reports

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance.

  • Approximately 3+ years of professional experience in operational finance or business analyst roles, with increasing levels of responsibility, particularly in sales controlling.

  • Proven expertise as a strong project and change manager, with a natural drive to challenge the status quo and the ability to initiate and lead sustainable change.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize workloads, ensuring robust controls while driving strategic initiatives forward.

  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data management (including queries, complex formulas, and data models) with a keen interest in continuous learning. Familiarity with Access and Power BI is an advantage.
