This role will report to the HK Senior Manager directly to work independently for all-round merchandising function:
Job Description
Product Development & Pre-Production Management
Manage related products development - market sample tracking, T&A management and provide sample options for meeting due dates
Understand product development process to allow effective negotiations with vendors and resolve development/production issues, ensure on time delivery and quality
Follow up with vendors on sample development/lab dips/graphic submission to meet due date
Collaborate with vendors, cross functional team and counterparts, engage people in different locations (e.g. HK & USA Offices)
Pre-production approvals management
Team & Data Management
Able to coach the team and lead them to achieve KPI’s
Data maintenance in different systems such as PLM, Intellimas to manage daily activities
Manage vendor relationships and resolve vendor related issues at right time
? Job Specifications
University degree or above with at least 8 years’ working experience with 2 - 3 years as Assistant Manager level. Previous working experience in Brands or Buying Office is required
Solid experience in Knits baby products for US/Canada markets and knowledge on Sweaters will be a plus
Familiar with product safety requirements of baby/childrenswear
Well-organized, systematic, detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good problem-solving and influencing skills. Abel to work through and overcome issues independently
Capability to lead complex and demanding negotations with successful results
Proactive and open-minded to establish relationship with stakeholders
Proficient in MS office (Pivot table, v-lookup, power-point Excel and Word)
Good command of written and spoken English
