Essential functions (job duties):
Responsible for implementing school age educational activities at one assigned location outlined in the 21st CCLC grant. Coordinate activities that include academic learning experiences, field trips and site-based liaison among program staff, school staff, community partners, students, and parents.
Maintain efficient and safe learning environment for a quality, educationally focused after-school program at assigned location.
Ensure that a plan and curriculum is implemented for assigned site for at least 32 weeks during the school year, and for a minimum of 6 weeks of site- based summer camps at assigned site. Design Curriculum that follow the project model and include site-based activities and special events/field trips.
Support HR processes for site staff at each assigned location, including the hiring, payroll, and evaluation of all assigned staff.
Participate in development, planning and evaluation of C2 Pipeline Programs, under the direction of the Associate Project Director.
Attend meetings with teaching and administrative staff at each assigned staff, including both 1-on-1 meetings and building wide staff meetings.
Ensure assigned site compliance with: Out-of-School Time Standards and Michigan Department of Education/MiLEAP’s on-site review monitoring expectations, Department of Health and Human Services Daycare Licensing Guidelines, Center for Youth Program Quality- Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA) as well as any collaborated compliance negotiated with the local host school district.

Unique duties:
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience approved by LARA licensing qualifications.
Experience: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)
Two years’ experience managing a K-12 after school enrichment program or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Five years’ experience in an education setting and/or five years working in an urban 21st CCLC learning program.
Experience training and supervising staff is required
Experience in the planning, implementation and supervision of after school programming
Experience in the development and implementation of new or innovative programs is preferred
Experience with MDE 21st CCLC required evaluation and systems, with include EZ Reports and YPQA.
Knowledge of K-12 curriculum and learning objectives and knowledge of 21st CCLC afterschool enrichment programs in an urban setting acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree and
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Supervisory Skills: Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train staff and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among staff members. Proven ability to manage and train a diverse staff including outside contractors.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and deal effectively with others. Ability to handle a variety of circumstances with tact and diplomacy and in a confidential manner. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all school systems personnel is required.
Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and monitor workflow. Ability to effectively coordinate program employees and participants to achieve desired results.
- Business Acumen: Understands the objectives and mission of the grant; looks for ways to improve processes and quality.
